Astrophysicist and raconteur, I work where science, computation, and art overlap. My practice moves from cosmic structure to machine learning to large‑scale creative technology, all driven by a fascination with how patterns, systems, and stories shape experience.
My creative practice spans visual art, large-scale installations, poetry, and circus performance. Each project is an opportunity and everything is an experiment where the rules of the infinite game are always being rewritten like a myth. A myth told for its own sake is not a story that has meaning, but a story that gives meaning.
I help artists, designers, and organizations realize creative visions through physics, computation, and engineering.
If you have an idea that feels impossible, be it structurally complex, computationally demanding, or simply unclear how to execute, I can help translate creative vision into buildable reality.
“everything is magic except to the magician”
My technical foundation grounds me. Scientific thinking—hypothesis, testing, iteration—informs how I approach creative work. I used to do science writing and also have a deep interest in energy systems, climate modeling, and sustainability.
My research in astrophysics was primarily focused on extragalactic astronomy and cosmology including galaxy dynamics, 21-cm cosmology, and large-scale structure. My thesis work explored a major outstanding problem in astrophysics - dark matter. In order to study dark matter I ran simulations on supercomputers; a visualization of such a simulation is shown here.
I build and deploy ML systems professionally: I write software to optimize the manufacture of semiconductors. My experience spans machine learning, computer vision, generative models, reinforcement learning, and LLMs.

I'm always interested in meaningful collaborations, ambitious projects, and conversations with people doing interesting work at the edges of their disciplines. If you're working on something ambitious and think my skillset might help, reach out. Even if I'm not available, I'm often happy to point you toward resources or people who might be able to assist.
